Description
9/27/22 – This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1918. It is “United States Property” marked and has the proper military inspection proofs. It also has the correct “HP” barrel. It comes as a rig with a nice 1918-dated holster and a WW2-era magazine. The gun itself has lost most of its original finish. There is obvious finish loss and spotty wear throughout. Some spotty oxidation here and there. Brown patina and minor pin-pricking on the front strap. Comes with nice period-correct wood grips. The bore has strong rifling with a couple of spots of minor oxidation.
