Description
The ANV M500 M500-009 Kamba DLC Elmax Black G10 is a compact version of the M500 Anthropoid dagger. The M500 KAMBA is named after Operation KAMBA of the Czech Military Police, which provided protection to the Czech embassy in Kabul and provided personal protection to diplomatic staff. The military police officers who participated in this operation shared their insights on the M500 Anthropoid model and its use, which inspired ANV to develop the M500 KAMBA using their insights.
The blade of the ANV M500 M500-009 Kamba DLC Elmax Black G10, dagger knife measures 15 cm in length and 6 mm in thickness. The total length is 26.5 cm.
Blade made of Elmax steel
The blade of the ANV M500 M500-009 Kamba DLC Elmax Black G10, dagger knife is made of Elmax. It’s tough, easy to sharpen and has a very good sharpness retention. These features, in combination with the corrosion resistance, makes Elmax a great steel. Elmax is made by Uddeholm in Sweden.
The blade is finished with a DLC coating, which stands for ‘Diamond Like Carbon’. It’s a very hard coating that is even harder than the steel. This makes DLC very scratch-resistant, and this coating protects the blade against corrosion. DLC is very hard, but it is also only a thin layer: eventually, you will always see signs of use.
G10 handle
The ANV M500 M500-009 Kamba DLC Elmax Black G10, dagger knife features a handle made from G10. This is a composite material made of glass fibre and synthetic resin. It is very strong, offers a lot of grip and is comfortable to hold. Moreover, it is not affected by moisture and it is a very stable material. It’s an excellent choice for the handle of a fixed blade.
