: Browning A-5 Locking Block and Link Assembly, 12 Gauge Magnum. This assembly is designed from durable steel and is a Browning factory original locking block and link for use with 12 Gauge magnum Auto-5 shotgun models. When servicing or repairing the Auto-5, you can rely on the quality and craftsmanship of an original Browning manufactured part.
It is important to note that the A-5 has two different styles of Locking Block, the “Old Style” and the “New Style”. The “New Style” Locking Block will only fit A-5s manufactured after 1958. If you have a pre-1958 A-5 and need to replace the Locking Block, it is necessary to replace the Breech Block, Locking Block, Left Hand Extractor, and Extractor Spring. This is due to a dimensional change in the Breech Block track. Any A-5 manufactured after 1958, the part can be used as is but will require fitting.
Note: It is recommended that all Browning parts be installed by a qualified and trained gunsmith.
