Description
The Demko Knives AD20.5 is an innovative pocket knife of high quality, designed by Andrew Demko. The knife is equipped with cool features like the Shark Lock mechanism. This state-of-the-art technology is user-friendly and very popular among knife fans. Thanks to its size, the AD20.5 is perfect for EDC use.
AD20.5 blade
The AD20.5 has a blade made from CPM 20CV steel. This is a premium type of powdered steel, which means that the steel has a very fine structure. This steel retains its sharpness well and is easy to sharpen. CPM 20CV is also very corrosion resistant.
The clip-point blade shape has a pointy tip, making it suitable for a large range of cutting tasks. From everyday use like opening packages to tactical use or hunting activities.
Shark-Lock mechanism
The Shark Lock mechanism is located at the spine of the knife and is operated through the fin-shaped protrusion or ramp, to which the lock owes its name. By opening the blade, the lock moves up a bit, after which a spring presses it into an indent in the tang of the blade. This indentation of the blade is located below a secondary stop pin, causing the lock to clamp itself between the blade and the pin. This ensures a super-tough lock. You disable the lock by pulling the Shark Lock backwards. The mechanism is very smooth, so the knife has a high fidget-factor.
AD20.5 handle
The AD20.5 is available in lots of handle materials. This version is made from carbon fibre; interlaced carbon fibres reinforced with epoxy resin. The material looks fancy, is lightweight and rock-solid. It is highly resistant to external influences.
You can easily carry the AD20.5 in your pocket with the pocket clip. A second pocket clip is supplied for left-handed use. A cool little detail is the pivot screw. On the show side it says ‘Demko Knives’, and on the clip side it says ‘Wampum PA’. Wampum is the city in Pennsylvania where Demko Knives is located. ‘PA’ is the abbreviation of Pennsylvania.
Demko Knives AD20.5 made in Taiwan
The AD20.5 collection is made in Taiwan, unlike the AD20 collection which is produced in the USA. This allows Demko to keep the pricing low, without having to compromise on production quality.
