Description
This Eden Quality cutting board is a practical cutting board. You can use both sides of this cutting board because it doesn’t have feet. And with the handle you can easily move the board. The cutting board is 44 x 28 cm and 4 cm thick. As well as finely cutting and slicing, you can also use this board as a chopping block.
The board is made from top-quality rubber wood. This is a type of wood that, in terms of characteristics, can be compared to conventional hard wood. And yet, rubber wood is better for the environment!
The wood of the rubber tree is one of the most ecologically-‘friendly’ types of wood in the modern wood industry. The wood is only used after the entire cycle of the latex production has ended. This type of hard wood is one of the most stable types of wood and retains its shape under changing conditions. This type of wood also has a natural anti-bacterial effect.
Maintaining and cleaning your cutting board
To keep your cutting board in great shape, maintenance is key. That is why we recommend that you add oil to the board before first use and repeat this process every month for the first six months.
Cleaning the board after use is a piece of cake. Rinse the board under the tap and clean it with a cloth. If necessary you can also use a little detergent. Never put the board in the dishwasher, it isn’t dishwasher proof. The same applies for soaking it in water. Leave the cutting board to dry in an upright position so that it can fully dry out. Adding oil to your cutting board
Wooden cutting boards need to be maintained. To make sure the cutting board stays in great shape we recommend adding a coat of oil before use. It makes the cleaning process easier, the wood won’t dry out and it ensures that scratches are less visible. It is best to use a flavourless and fragrance-less oil. Almond or grape seed oil, for instance. (Please note: we do not recommend using almond oil if you are allergic to nuts). White mineral oil is also possible, but we recommend using Eden cutting board oil. Don’t use olive oil because it will become sticky. Something you, of course, want to avoid. Add a coat of oil once every month. You can read more about it in our topic maintaining a wooden cutting board.
Eden price advantage!
