Description
The ESEE Izula II is, like the Izula, names after an aggressive ant from the Peruvian jungle. This is to emphasize that despite its size you shouldn’t underestimate this knife. The ESEE Izula II is a versatile, small fixed knife. The handle is slightly bigger than that of the Izula and made from micarta. Micarta has a nice structure to make sure you have enough grip. This is an excellent alternative for everyone who is looking for the strength of a fixed knife but feels the handle of the Izula is a little too small.
The blade is made from 1095 carbon steel. This is strong type of steel that is easy to sharpen. It might be a little more sensitive to rust, but thanks to the high quality of the powder coating you won’t be bothered by it. It is, however, wise to keep this knife dry and possibly slightly greasy.
The included plastic case has, like all ESEE Knives cases, a great design. The knife is properly secured and won’t spontaneously fall out.
