The HDS Systems EDC Custom Limited Edition UV flashlight produces a stunning ultra-violet light at 365nm and a maximum power of 300mW. This flashlight enables you to recognize everything that contains phosphorus. When using an ultra-violet light phosphorus absorbs the energy and turns it into visible light. As such you can, for instance, see the authenticity of identity cards, banknotes, gems and minerals. But you can also light up blood, urine and saliva.
What makes this UV LED light so unique is the special ‘woods Glass’. This type of glass ensures that the visible light and the short UV-waves are stopped. As such the light creates a pure 365nm. With 365nm this flashlight also falls under the category of ‘black Light’ or ‘UVA’. This is a specific type of ultra-violet light with a wave length between 320-400nm. UVA beams have the longest wave length, are less harmful and the most energy-efficient of all types of UV-light.
Do, however, keep this in mind: despite the fact that UVA is less harmful, this light is very focused and bright. As such you should never shine this flashlight in your eyes. If you do, you run the risk of damaging your eyes.
HDS Rotary switch
HDS’s most famous feature is the amazing rotary switch. The EDC Rotary combines a rotary knob with a single switch to create a unique rotating user interface. Turn the knob further to increase the intensity or turn it back to decrease the intensity.
