Description
2/15/22 – This is an original 1939 dated K98 bayonet. The bayonet comes with a period correct dress bayonet scabbard, as shown. The scabbard has surface rust and paint loss, mostly toward the tip. There are no markings on the scabbard. The blade is 39 dated on the spine, and maker stamped as well as serial numbered. There’s light surface wear and finish loss mostly toward the tip and near the blade edge, which shows signs of sharpening. The handle has patina throughout but no cracks or chips in the grip.
