Description
1/14/22 – This is an original 1939 K98 bayonet with a matching numbered scabbard. The bayonet blade is in great shape with some finish loss and mild patina but no rust, pitting, or signs of sharpening. The base of the blade is maker stamped on one side and serial numbered on the other. The metal portion of the handle has surface patina and discoloration throughout as shown. The scabbard has similar dark patina throughout and a few small dings in the metal. The leather frog is broken in the front leather around the scabbard knob, but the rest of the leather and stitching is in good condition.
