Description
9/2/21 – This is a very nice example of a Gustloff-Werke K98 rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching and has the proper waffen military proofs throughout. The barrel bands are un-numbered. The stock is not numbered, but has a “Waffen Eagle H” proof. This gun is unique because it has a late-war all-phosphate finish. A few of the small parts are blued. There areas of thinning and spotty oxidation throughout, typical for these finishes. The stock is nice, but appears to have been lightly sanded. Small digs and dents throughout. The bore is near-mint.
