Description
11/26/21 – This is a nice example of a Colt Government Model 1911 sold in the commercial market in 1914. The barrel on this example has been replaced with a WW2 era Colt barrel. This gun has lost most of it original finish, retaining only about 35%. The finish remains primarily on both sides of the frame. There are tiny pits on each side of the slide. There are minor scraps and dings throughout the slide and frame, with spotty oxidation throughout most noticeably on the top and right side of the slide, as well as both grip straps. Comes with worn WW1 era grips which are intact and a two tone magazine. The bore is excellent with strong rifling.
