Description
11/29/22 – This is an excellent example of a BYF 44 Mauser K98 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It has the proper waffen military acceptance proofs throughout, and all of the metal parts are matching except for the rear barrel band. Comes with a cleaning rod and an excellent leather sling. The stock and handguard are numbered on the inside – the handguard is mismatched, and the stock is matching but appears to have been re-numbered. The metal parts have retained most of their bluing with very little actual finish loss. The most notable area of wear is on the floor plate / trigger group where there is also minor brown patina. Some light freckling on the barrel and on the bolt handle. The butt plate appears to have black enamel paint. The bore is mint.
