10/20/22 – This is an excellent Springfield Armory M1D Garand Sniper rifle from 1945.The gun was upgraded to M1D specifications at the armory and has a barrel date of April, 1953.It has an original M84 telescopic sight, but the optic has some sight issues.There are a couple of small chips on the edges of the inner lens which make the vision blurry at some angles, and likely means this scope can’t be used for shooting.SA marked trigger group, bolt carrier and hammer, with standard markings on the heel of receiver.Circle ‘P’ proof on stock.The leather cheek pad is dated to February of 1952.Bore is shiny with strong rifling but has a little freckling toward the muzzle end.
