11/21/22 -This is a very nice example of a rare Sauer Behorden pistol. This is a Sauer Model 1930 issued to the Nazi-era Prussian State Police. This is evidenced by the “Starburst K” marking on the web of the trigger guard. This was the last iteration of this pistol before they switched over to the 38h. They were marketed to and almost exclusively sold to Nazi-era police organizations. They had added safety features, such as the additional trigger safety, making them appealing for police. Very few of these guns were produced. This particular gun is all matching and comes as a rig with a nice tan leather 1939-dated police holster and two period-correct magazines. the holster is numbered on the back, but it does not match the gun. Faint “Sauer” ink stamp on the inside. The gun itself has retained about 85% of its original finish. Most of the actual finish loss is on the back strap, but there is also noticeable spotty wear around the muzzle and along both sides of the slide. Comes with excellent period-correct black bakelite grips. Minty bore.
