8/30/22 – This is an original WW2 production SA Dagger. The dagger blade is in great condition and is maker stamped by J.P. Sauer & Sohn. There’s evident cross-graining throughout the blade, and minimal discoloration. Most of the wear is surface scratches and scabbard wear. There are a few areas of dark speckling oxidation as well. No signs of sharpening. The hand guard has some yellowing from age, and is SA Gruppe stamped “Mi”. The wood handle is cracked near the SA emblem and there are two hairline cracks from the pommel that extend downward. The scabbard is anodized metal and has surface patina as well as yellowing and color fading throughout.
