Description
11/20/19 – This is a hard to find 1917 Navy DWM Luger, one of only 15,000 of these 1914 variation Lugers produced in 1917, and this one falls in the proper serial range. ¬ The gun is all matching numbers except for the grips and magazine. ¬The grips are unnumbered but do appear original to the gun, and the left panel has the common chip under the safety. ¬The magazine is mismatched but is an early example with the sideways numbering. ¬The bluing rates at 90+% but does have some patina coming through and some notable pinpricking along the barrel. ¬Bore is shiny with strong rifling, but a little frost. ¬Excellent straw on small parts.
