Description
12/13/22 – This is a wartime production Type 30 Japanese rifle bayonet from WW2. The bayonet is in excellent overall condition with a slab-sided blade that has a plumb colored blued finish. The blade is sharpened about 2/3rds of the way down the edge from the tip. There’s some thinning and mild finish loss but no rust or pitting. Maker stamped by National Denki under Kokura supervision on one side of the ricasso. The straight quillon cross guard has a nice blued finish with some surface patina and areas of dark discoloration. The pommel is rounded and has dark patina throughout but no rust or pitting. Serial numbered on the pommel as shown. Comes with an excellent metal scabbard that has no dents and retains most of the original finish. A very nice example overall.
