12/16/22 – This is a very early and rare flat button magazine. These were only made for the first 1,000 or so Lugers, most of them Swiss contract. They were made for the early variation “unrelieved” frame Luger and are nearly impossible to find. This one came from the collection of an advanced collector. The magazine itself is in excellent condition with a strong spring. You will only see the difference in the button, as it is flatter than the later ones. The design was changed to make the button easier to press. Note: The standard Luger magazine will not fit into the early Lugers from about 1900-1904.
