6/15/22 – This is a Winchester Model 97 shotgun from 1953 that has been modified to trench shotgun configuration.The bluing on the shotgun is original but shows edge wear on all the high points, and use wear on the magazine tube and barrel.The bayonet lug and heat shield attachment are a postwar addition and there’s some oxidation on the heat shield.The stock and forend show minor handling wear aside from a small area indented area on the wrist with a checkered pattern, not sure what caused this.The action is smooth and the bore is minty.
