Description
1/10/23 – This is an original WW1 production M1917 “Doughboy” helmet. The helmet is in great condition with a rough exterior shell that has most of the original paint intact. There’s signs of aging throughout but no rust, pitting, or dents. No decals or markings on the exterior. The interior shell has some surface patina and discoloration, but this is mild and normal. The helmet is stamped “203 Z D” near the seam on the interior brim. The original liner is still intact with some natural aging but excellent overall condition considering its age. Also attached is an original leather chin strap as shown.
