7/11/19 – This is an original leather strap for a K98 rifle manufactured during WWII. The buckle is un-marked.¬E/655 military proof stamp is¬on the rear of the keeper stud. Waffen eagle WaA??? and maker code¬is faintly stamped on the rear of the sling. Something you don’t often see because these were worn off during use.¬The leather is soft, strong and completely in tact with no notable flaws. About 80% original herringbone texture is still visible on the exterior.¬The stitching is all original as well without issues. Guaranteed original.¬
