Description
This is a collectible Springfield Armory 1884 Trap Door Rifle chambered in 45-70 Government. It features a 32-inch barrel, single shot breach loading action, adjustable rear sight, sling swivels, and bayonet. Overall, this Springfield is in good vintage condition with normal age wear to the finish on the stock, barrel, and receiver. Bore has good rifling with some corrosion. Barrel is marked “VP” with an eagle’s head below it. A cartouche is visible on the left side of the stock. Barrel bands are marked with a “U” proof mark. The top of the trap door mechanism is marked US Model 1884. This would be a good choice for collecting. Buy online today!
