The Spyderco Police 4 is one of the classics within the Spyderco range. One of the first models ever. The last couple of years the Policy has been improved thanks to the Constant Quality Improvement program. This light-weight incarnation is the result of all the knowledge gathered throughout the years. Instead of G10 scales with steel liners Spyderco used FRN. FRN is a glass fibre reinforced plastic. It is comprised of glass fibres that are drenched in polyester resin. It makes the material very strong and very light-weight. In addition, the material can handle exterior influences and will last a long time. All in all this version of the Police 4 offers a lot more grip and weighs a lot less than its predecessors. You open the VG10 steel blade with the thumb hole. This is easy with one hand. When opened a solid back lock will keep the blade in place. The accurate fit of all parts is remarkable: truly a top-quality knife. With a total length of 25.3 cm when opened the Police 4 is one of the longest Spyderco knives in our range. Perfect for anyone looking for a knife for tactical purposes or for those who believe EDC knives such as the Endura 4 and Paramilitary 2 are a little too small.
