The TRC Knives Speed Demon is a compact and cool EDC knife. The Speed Demon was inspired by Frank Lockhart, a racing genius who won numerous races in 1925 and 1926 and even obliterated a couple of world records. That no-nonsense winning mentality was included in the design and production of the Speed Demon. With its slender construction and high-tech handle material, the Speed Demon is incredibly lightweight and looks futuristic.
The blade is made from Böhler M390 steel. This is an Austrian type of super steel. One of the best high-end choices at the moment. M390 excels when it comes to sharpness retention and corrosion resistance. The flat grind of the blade was applied by hand. Unprecedented for a production knife like this.
When you hold the Speed Demon you notice that a lot of time was spent on the ergonomics, which is necessary for knife with a slim handle like this. The bevelled edges and the subtle kink downwards make the knife feel amazing in hand.
The TRC Speed Demon comes with a sleek kydex sheath. The sheath is enhanced with a paracord neck cord and a flexible belt loop. As such you can decide for yourself how you carry the knife. Please note: kydex almost always leaves behind small scratches on the blade as it slides in and out of the sheath. This is normal.
