Description

This Zassenhaus acacia wood cutting board is practical in use. You can use both sides of this cutting board because it doesn’t have feet. Once side is enhanced with a gap to collect moisture and crumbs. The other side is completely smooth.

With a size of 36x23x2 this is an average-sized cutting board. Do you prefer a bigger board? It is possible! This cutting board is also available in a larger size. Namely 42×27.5×2 cm.

Acacia wood is a mixture of colours. It is what makes this type of wood so special. Because it is a natural product each cutting board can look a little different. This is an aspect of this type of wood. This type of wood has a natural anti-bacterial effect.

Cleaning the board after use is a piece of cake. Rinse the board under the tap and clean it with a cloth. If necessary you can also use a little detergent. Never put the board in the dishwasher, it isn’t dishwasher proof. The same applies for soaking it in water. Dry the board and leave it out to dry upright so that the air can do its work.

Cleaning the cutting board
To make sure your board stays in great shape maintenance is key! Fortunately, this isn’t as time consuming as you might think. Clean the board after use by rinsing it off under the tap. Afterwards dry it properly. Never put the board in the dishwasher! Place it upright (or hang it) to make sure it dries properly.

Adding oil to your board
A wooden cutting board needs to be maintained. To make sure it stays in great shape, we recommend adding oil to both sides of the board. It makes cleaning the board easier, the wood won’t dry out and it also makes sure scratches are less visible. When adding oil to a cutting board it is best if you use a flavourless and odourless oil. Almond or grapeseed oil, for instance. (Please note: we don’t recommend using almond oil if you are allergic to nuts). White mineral oil is also a good option, but we recommend Eden Cutting Board Oil . Do not use olive oil because it gets sticky and dirty. Something you wish to avoid, of course. You need to add oil to your board approx. once a month. You can read more about maintaining your cutting board in this article.
