The Zero Tolerance ZT0004 Cerakote CPM Cru-Wear, Micarta is a beautifully robust medium-sized knife from Zero Tolerance. The 3D micarta scales feel great in hand and offer a good grip, even in wet circumstances. The Cerakote coating on the blade is particularly wear-resistant and gives the knife a nice matte finish, while increasing corrosion resistance. The generous cut-out in the blade for your index finger makes it possible to work very precisely with this knife. You easily remove the handle scales from the knife with an Allen key for cleaning and maintenance. This knife comes with a beautiful leather sheath with multiple carrying configurations. In short, it’s a great all-round EDC or survival knife that you buy for life.

Blade made of CPM CruWear steel
The blade of this Zero Toleranceis made of CPM CruWear steel. This is a tool steel known for its strength and sharpness retention. In fact, CruWear retains its edge so well that you will rarely need to sharpen it. You do need to be a bit careful with moisture and acids, however, as CPM CruWear is not entirely stainless. A quick clean after use and an occasional drop of oil will keep this knife in top condition.
This blade is finished with a Cerakote coating. This is a popular coating also used for engine parts, for example. It is a very ‘tough’ coating. It has good impact resistance. Traces of use are therefore less likely to show up. However, it is also only a thin layer: eventually, you will always see signs of use.
Micarta handle
The handle of the Zero Tolerance ZT0004 Cerakote CPM Cru-Wear, Micarta fixed knife is made of micarta. This is a composite material made of fabric and synthetic resin. If you look closely, you can see a subtle texture on the surface, sometimes it looks almost like wood. This material is strong and stable, and it’s very grippy.
